HEP Science Information Session - Spring
Overview
This free engagement session offers school and trust leaders a clear, practical overview of how HEP Science provides a structured, whole-school approach to primary science through a fully sequenced, ready-to-teach curriculum.
Led by curriculum author Brenda Hayles, the session is designed to help leaders understand how the curriculum works as a whole, how it supports teachers in the classroom, and what adoption would look like in practice for a school or MAT.
In this session, you will see
• How the HEP Science curriculum is structured from EYFS to Year 6 to support clear progression and coherence
• How lesson materials, practical work, literacy support, and assessment fit together as one system
• How the curriculum is designed to reduce teacher workload while improving consistency and subject confidence
• How common misconceptions are anticipated and addressed within the curriculum design
• What support schools receive beyond the resources themselves
The session focuses on clarity, transparency, and real classroom practice, rather than promotional claims.
Who this session is for
• Headteachers, executive leaders, and MAT curriculum leads
• Science subject leaders reviewing or refining their curriculum
• Schools seeking a coherent alternative to piecemeal or mixed provision
• Leaders who want to understand the curriculum fully before making any decisions
