Event Details

Dr Alastair O’Brien is a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant Hepatologist at University College London and The Royal Free Hospitals. His research in infection and liver disease has been published in the most prestigious medical Journals such as The Lancet, Nature Medicine, Hepatology and Gastroenterology.

He currently holds approximately £2million in grant funding from the Wellcome Trust, The Medical Research Council and The Department of Health. He is able to combine clinical excellence with running a laboratory research group and a clinical trial team.

He will be discussing “Hepatology in Primary Care".

 

Dr Panagiotis Kottaridis is a Consultant Haematologist in Myeloid Malignancies and Bone Marrow Transplantation. He leads the Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, Myelodysplasia and Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia Service at the Royal Free Hospital. His main academic and clinical interests focus on prognostication of AML, haemato-oncology, bone marrow transplantation, and the late effects of chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation. 

Dr Kottaridis will present on "Haematology: From Bench to Bedside and Beyond".

The evening seminar will commence at 18:30 with registration & refreshments, with speakers to begin talks at 19:00 for a 20:15 finish.

This event is open to practising physical therapists and GMC registered GPs.
