Herba Mythica with Xanthe Gresham-Knight

Join acclaimed storyteller Xanthe Gresham-Knight, author of Herba Mythica: Myths and Folk Tales of Sacred Healing Plants, tell of myths and folktales of healing plants such as Yarrow, Eyebright, Hawthorn, Date Palm and Tea. Xanthe will discuss the power of using story to connect with plants for one’s own healing practice and to trigger a healing response in the patient.

About Xanthe Gresham-Knight

Over her 30-year career as an international storyteller, Xanthe developed a passion for Goddess mythology which gave way to a strong belief that the Goddess is simply the Earth.

Her belief that plants are the deities of today has brought her to herbalism. She is the author of Herba Mythica, the Myths and Folktales of Healing Plants where world-class performance-storytellers tell plant-stories that focus on a particular plant with Xanthe adding their healing qualities and symbolism.

She has been Storyteller in Residence for The Chelsea Physic Garden, Harvard University and Psychologies Magazine and received numerous commissions from the British Museum, Tate Britain and the Smithsonian and performed at the Barbican, The National and major international storytelling and literature festivals.
