About this event

Safeguarding Adults Week 2025 is a collaborative initiative focused on prevention—acting before abuse occurs. Each day, we’ll explore a different safeguarding theme alongside our partners, sharing insights, stories, and strategies that promote safer cultures. This year’s message shifts the focus from reactive policies to proactive approaches, encouraging individuals and organisations to embed prevention into their safeguarding practices. By highlighting the power of early intervention and community awareness, we aim to build resilience and empower people to speak up when something feels wrong.

“There comes a point where we need to stop just pulling people out of the river.
We need to go upstream and find out why they’re falling in.”
– Desmond Tutu
