Description
‘Thinking Positive: Improving attainment through attachment and well-being practices in school’
This schools’ conference is supported by Herefordshire Educational Psychology Service and Herefordshire Virtual School. It will be an opportunity for governors, senior leaders, teachers and support staff from Herefordshire schools to come together to consider how schools can meet their duty to support pupils’ mental health whilst improving attainment. The conference is free to attend and only open to schools within Herefordshire. Places are on first come first serve basis and limited to 5 places per school.
Keynote Speakers
Dr Janet Rose – Principal of Norland College
Janet is a co-founder of Emotion Coaching UK. She is a trained teacher and has led research into the development of Emotion Coaching both as a parenting programme and its application in schools and community settings throughout the UK
Andrew Wright – Head of Virtual School, Birmingham and Board of Trustees ARC
Andrews is the Head of one of the largest Virtual School teams in the UK. He is currently chair of the charitable organisation the Attachment Research Community (ARC) which is a membership organisation dedicated to supporting everyone’s attachment needs through sharing best practice.
