To celebrate 50 years of university status and the success and growth that has come along with it, Heriot-Watt University invites it's students and alumni to an intimate evening of networking and speaking from some very special guests. This event is funded thanks to the generosity of the Heriot-Watt Annual Fund and Heriot-Watt School of Management and Languages.
Joining us on the evening we have Head of the United States Consulate in Edinburgh, Susan Wilson; former First Minister & MP for Gordon, Alex Salmond and two of our senior Heriot-Watt alumni who will be sharing stories of their success since graduating from the university. We'll also be featuring social enterprise StreetChange, founded by current undergraduate student Johnny Watson, which showcases the efforts being made by our students to innovate and tackle big social problems in our communities.
The night will begin with a drinks reception, followed by the talks from our guest speakers and will close with a networking evening. There will be a big focus throughout on graduate career progression and offers current undergraduate students an opportunity to meet our guests and alumni in a relaxed, informal setting.
The night will begin at 7pm at the SKYbar and interested Heriot-Watt University students across all disciplines are welcome to register to come along for some complementary drinks, engaging talks and an incredible view of our remarkable city. Tickets are completely free, although there are a very limited number of places, so to secure your place we recommend registering for this completely unique event as soon as possible and avoid disappointment.
Note: Due to limited capacity we ask that should those with a ticket no longer manage to attend, to please get in touch with the event organiser as soon as possible and allow us to give another student this fantastic opportunity.
