Event description

Description

We are very sorry, but Queen Street Mill Museum is temporarily closed to staff and the public, due to the dangerous state of a nearby chimney which is not owned by the county council.
We hope to be open in time for Heritage Open Day BUT please check for the latest new on our website before visiting: https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/leisure-and-culture/museums/queen-street-mill-textile-museum/

Free entrance to Queen Street Mill as part of Heritage Open Day, regular tours around the last surviving 19th century steam powered weaving mill in the world. Relive the days when cotton was king and watch our weaving technicians demonstrate how to turn cotton into cloth on our heritage looms, plus 'See the Mill Differently'. - young people are invited to explore and take photographs which help us to see the mill differently
