When you walk through Leeds do you ever look up? This Heritage Open Day discover the beautiful architecture that often goes unnoticed above the city’s busy shop fronts.

Join us at the West Yorkshire Archive Service in Leeds for a behind-the-scenes tour and pop-up exhibition exploring the hidden stories behind some of the city’s most striking buildings. Through historic plans and photographs you’ll see how Leeds has grown and changed over the years.

Enjoy a rare opportunity to step inside our archive stores and see original records that reveal the details of iconic sites - from the grand Victorian Arcades and Town Hall to the rooftops of the city’s distinctive back-to-back terraces.

Whether you're passionate about local history, fascinated by architecture, or simply curious about what goes on behind the scenes at the archives, this is your chance to see Leeds from a whole new perspective.
