Heritage Open Day - Peterborough Energy Recovery Centre

The team at Peterborough Energy Recovery Facility will be opening its doors to members of the public in September to explore the state of the art facility which turns residual waste into energy. Making a significant step towards the city's zero waste to landfill ambitions, Peterborough City Council is now able to divert up to 95% of its non-recyclable waste from landfill and this is your chance to lift the lid and see the science behind what happens when you take your rubbish out.
