About this event
Western Bank Library is currently hosting the exhibition Peter Blundell Jones: Architecture, Landscape and the City.
Peter Blundell Jones (1949-2016) was an architectural historian, who joined the School of Architecture at the University of Sheffield in 1994. Although predominantly an academic, he also practised as an architect.
This exhibition features his life, the buildings he designed, and his research and teaching, including the Sheffield 1900 model: a remarkable 3D scale reconstruction showing the buildings and landscape of the city of Sheffield as it was 125 years ago.
On Saturday 13 September as part of the Heritage Open Days Festival there will be a curator-led single tour at 10:30 am. It will be led by Dr Xiang Ren of the School of Architecture and Landscape and entrance to this tour will be by ticket only.
The exhibition is alo open to the general public for drop-ins throughout the entire summer, no need to book.
The meeting point for the tour is the Western Bank Library, Western Bank, Sheffield, S10 2TN. Please note that the event time has been set 15 minutes prior to start of the tour to allow time for check-in - the tour will begin on the hour.
