Yes, limited spaces available outside the front of the Fort.

The tour is unsuitable for dogs.

A torch is always handy to see some of the details. Comfortable sturdy shoes!

Understand more about why Fort Purbrook was built and how it has served the local community over the past 150 years.

Our guided one hour taster tour takes you through the Fort and some of the less familar areas.

~This is a Heritage Open Days event~

The Fort is a Historical Scheduled Monument and Grade 2 Listed Building which is protected under law. Its design and age dictate that there are areas of uneven floor, steps and ramps, and dimly lit areas. We advise sturdy footwear. Please be informed that this site is monitored by CCTV to protect our legitimate interests in keeping the site safe and free from any misconduct.
