There will be limited parking. Further options include parking on Portsdown Hill ( by the burger van) and walking over.

Is there a cafe on site to buy food or drink?

Unfortunately not. We are however by The Churchillian pub!

The tour is unsuitable for dogs.

Is there anything I need to bring?

A torch is always handy to see some of the details. Comfortable sturdy shoes!

Don't miss this opportunity to sample the amazing rich heritage of an iconic Palmerston Fort, with a one off opportunity for this unique taster tour.

Understand more about why Fort Widley was built and how it has served the local community over the past 150 years.

Our guided one hour taster tour takes you through the Fort and some of the less familar areas. (It does not include the Cold War Bunker)

Please note:

Persons wishing to join a tour are advised that the route includes areas of uneven floor, steps and ramps, and dimly lit areas. Caution is advised when moving around the site. Sturdy footwear is strongly advised (no flipflops or open toe shoes please). No dogs are permitted on the tour.
