    Retford is an ancient market town formed on the banks of the River Idle. It has a wealth of historic buildings along its main thoroughfares, each with their own unique story. Join Bassetlaw District Council’s Conservation Manager, Michael Tagg, as he explores the town’s special architecture, focusing on what makes each building unique and how they contribute to Retford’s special character and appearance.

    This event has been organised as part of Heritage Open Days 2025 and will take place on Retford's annual Heritage Day on Saturday 13 September.
