Tara S. Beall and members of the 'Strong Women of Clydeside’ team will celebrate women from the Southside of Glasgow. Learn about Suffragette and Rent Strike organiser Helen Crawfurd, philanthropists Lady Dinah Pearce and Isabella Elder, plus others - and the amazing impact they had on Govan and Glasgow.

Tara is an artist and researcher who initiated the ‘Govan’s Hidden Histories’ project in 2013. The ‘Strong Women of Clydeside’ (2013-present) are a team of activists, creatives, and local historians who have hosted guided walks and public art actions, seeking to highlight and recover the roles of women in Govan, and on the Clyde.

Our Heritage Programme has been kindly supported by Glasgow City Council, Hugh Fraser Foundation, William Mann, Glasgow City Heritage Trust, Trades House Commonweal Fund and House for an Art Lover.
