Event description
HERlarious. Stop Selling Yourself Short

About this Event

One of the findings of the Rose Review is that women lack self-belief and confidence when it comes to starting a business. Please join Lynne Parker, Co Founder & Chief Executive of Funny Women & myself, Fiona Macpherson at our workshop in August, Edinburgh City Centre to help boost your confidence and change the narrative for women in business.

A single workshop and techniques are aimed at communicating more effectively and powerfully. Our aim is to help women express themselves more confidently so that they can indeed stop selling themselves short in both their business and personal lives. The focus will be on self-belief with the aim of developing a suite of personal skills and the confidence to run or start a business.

This version of our HERlarious programme will be run by Lynne Parker who reflect the ideals of Funny Women, helping women to perform, write and do business with humour. Recognised comedy experts, we deploy some of the tried and tested tricks of the comedy trade to provide insights and inspiration for your business.

The workshop will cover:

- Advice on how to ‘perform’, write great copy and bring your ideas to life

- Techniques to communicate more effectively

- Know your worth – tell your own story, create your own material, interpret body language, and become more confident and memorable

- Attract your ideal clients - how to connect with them, virtually and in person, and how humour can help you keep them without being annoying.

- De-stress in an instant by having some fun!
