HEROPRENEURS NETWORKING EVENT JULY 2017
Wed 12 July 2017, 18:30 – 21:00 BST
Janey’s life adventure has seen her as:
lawyer, art dealer, adventurer, soldier, bar wench, explorer, life model, presenter, endurance athlete, estate agent and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society…
A broken back and a brush with the other side cultivated a new outlook and an insatiable desire to learn, explore beyond limits, break from convention and at the heart of everything raise awareness for our wounded veterans.
Janey will talk about her walk along the 630 mile walk for wounded soldiers where she planted a sunflower seed for each of the 616 wounded soldiers from the Afganhistan campaign, and her planned walk of 600 miles in Oman of the inhospitable desert, Rub’ Al Khali in the company of female locals.
Heropreneurs is a charity that inspires, networks and mentors aspiring entrepreneurs from the armed forces community.
Heropreneurs helps serving (regular and reserves), spouses and ex service men and women develop their ideas and give them the mentoring, networking and confidence to try to reduce the risks inherent in starting and growing a business. Many of these mentors are business people with significant experience of small businesses who have not served themselves but who are willing to give a couple of hours per month to help those who have served.
The event price covers our event costs (including a drink or two) with all profits going to the charity. The venue has generously given us the room free of charge.
Dress code is whatever you fancy and I hope you'll join us for an inspiring, humorous and enlivening evening!
