Hertfordshire Countywide Virtual Barn Meeting
Event Information
About this Event
Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Hertfordshire David Lloyd’s Community Safety and Criminal Justice Plan prioritises tackling rural crime throughout the county, from hare coursing and livestock worrying to fly-tipping and theft of agricultural machinery.
The Covid-19 pandemic currently precludes us from replicating the successful in-person Barn Meetings of previous years. The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Hertfordshire Constabulary and NFU Hertfordshire are therefore partnering to host a Countywide Virtual Barn Meeting to give you the opportunity to contribute your views on rural crime and help shape rural policing priorities in your area. We are keen to hear from not just farmers and landowners, but also from those that work and live in rural areas or have links to rural communities in Hertfordshire.
This meeting is an invaluable opportunity for you to learn about the latest rural crime priorities and developments across Hertfordshire and raise your views direct with PCC David Lloyd, Chief Constable Charlie Hall, and Sergeant Ryan Hemmings of Herts Constabulary’s Rural Support Team. The event includes an extensive Q&A element to ensure the meeting is a two-way conversation.
We will look to reconstitute the district-level in-person Barn Meetings once it is safe to do so. In the meantime, please do join us and take this opportunity to help us shape the priorities for rural policing in your area and throughout Hertfordshire.
