Event description
Join us at our Annual Conference and AGM 2019 at GSK's fantastic facilities in Stevenage.

About this Event

Stevenage is at the epicentre of a medical revolution thanks to the clustering of R&D excellence at the GSK campus bringing advanced therapies to market.

The LEP's investment has reinforced Hertfordshire's position as a world-class hub for the development of cell and gene therapies. This innovation is at the heart of our emerging Local Industrial Strategy.

As we prepare to finalise our strategy with Government, find out how we are driving inclusive growth to ensure that no part of our local economy is left behind.

  • Hear about the exciting advanced therapy developments taking place on site and how the LEP’s investment continues to help leverage substantial private equity investment within the county.
  • Find out how our projects and programmes across the county are making a real difference to our people, places and businesses.
  • Understand how the Local Industrial Strategy will help pave the way for more opportunities for future shared prosperity.
  • Visit exhibition stands on our many exciting initiatives that are supporting our ambitious sustainable growth agenda.

This is the premier event in Hertfordshire LEP’s calendar, bringing together national and local decision makers, business and local authority leaders, and representatives from not-for-profit organisations.

The AGM follows directly on from the conference and will be audio-recorded for those unable to attend. Questions can be sent in advance to info@hertfordshirelep.co.uk.

A full agenda and timings will be available shortly. We look forward to welcoming you.

Hertfordshire LEP has published its draft Local Industrial Strategy for public consultation following months of evidence gathering, public briefings and detailed discussions with partners across the county and the wider South East region.

The draft presents a suggested ‘economic roadmap’ for Hertfordshire that plays to its key sector strengths and addresses some of its challenges, and represents one of the biggest opportunities yet to alter the county’s future economic path.

We are seeking input from businesses, communities, public and not for profit organisations from across the region on how to drive up productivity and ensure that future growth is inclusive.

Read the draft strategy and take part in the consultation.
