Meet Kevin Handly for a site tour of Hexham Road... A new-build adult daycare centre on the ground floor with sheltered housing flats on upper floors being delivered for Reading Borough Council to fulfil local housing needs.
The client’s aspiration for a high-end design versus the local authority budget available has resulted in some careful balancing between cost and design aspiration during the pre-construction period.
Now on site, the project is being delivered to a PassivHaus standard, zero carbon in operation to keep the tenants utility bills to the absolute minimum.
