Many companies are embracing the Cloud to help them to be more agile, flexible, and effective at delivering better business outcomes. Today, most companies are already using XaaS offerings, and by 2025, it's estimated that 90% of workloads will be processed through the cloud. Therefore, cloud computing has been a key technology of shaping the ways of developing as well as managing businesses in the future.

Big data provides a fuller picture. It allows organisations to understand the people they serve, choose better strategies, allocate their resources more effectively and operate smarter. One challenge can be gathering the necessary skills together to equip the existing workforce with the technical knowhow needed to harness analytics and data for business benefits.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is not new. It has been around for decades. However, due to greater processing speeds and access to vast amounts of rich data, AI is beginning to take root in our everyday lives. From natural language generation and voice or image recognition to predictive analytics, machine learning and driverless cars, AI systems have applications in many areas. These technologies are critical to bringing about innovation, providing new business opportunities and reshaping the way companies operate.

In this open session, the speaker will deliver a brief introduction of HCIA (Huawei Certificate of ICT Associate) Cloud Computing, Big Data as well as AI. He also will share experience of finding an internship or placement when studying in the UK. A further explanation how HCIA certificate can enhance students’ employability then be provided, followed by the brief of Huawei Work Placement Scheme.

Session Content:

• How can you find an internship or placement in the UK? A brief introduction of employment situation of graduates (overseas students studying in the UK, eg. salary, work visa, etc.); and large-scale job fairs in the UK.

• How to improve the learning efficiency during lockdown?
