Event description

Description

Afrikan History is a largely unknown subject in Nottingham because Afrikan history has been written out of local history books and furthermore it is not taught in schools in the city and county as a whole.

This implies wittingly or unwittingly that Afrikan people have no history to speak of and furthermore have contributed nothing to the social, cultural and economic development of Nottingham.

However, through research uncovered,  the reality is that contrary to opinion Afrikan people have a rich history in Nottingham and the county spanning more than 400 years so come join us on a journey of discovery of the hidden Afrikan history in Nottingham..
