Event description

Description

Hidden Compass Quartet was formed in London in 2018 and is made up of players from around the world - Hong Kong, UK, Russia and Poland. They united with a determination to play a mix of classical quartet music inspired by world music. The quartet has come together through a shared interest and belief in improvisation within the classical structure. Using both ideology from jazz and early classical music to find the playfulness and spontaneity in the roots of the music with the idea that each performance will be different. Their performance programme on the night will be a mix of Mendelssohn, Borodin and contemporary pieces from China and Finland.
