Hidden Harm: Supporting the mental health needs of children and young people

About this Event

By the end of this session, you will:

• Know the impacts of parental mental health on the well-being of children and young people;

• Understand the known risks linked to Parental Mental Health and how these link to observations in working practice;

• Learn ways to support children and their families, and escalate concerns;

• Acquire tools and resources to use in practice.

Summary:

This specialist course provides a detailed awareness of hidden harm and how it can impact the mental health of children and young people. Our experienced facilitators will share experiential knowledge of the issues that affect children living with hidden harm. It will help you to understand the cycle of events each hidden harm stressor produces, and highlights how to spot signs of harm and when and where to escalate concerns.

Who can access this training?

All Sheffield professionals working with children and young people are welcome to access our CAMHS training for free.

Please note: If you are a professional not working in Sheffield, we'd love to have you join us for our sessions! A fee of £100 per day will be charged once you have attended the course. This fee will be agreed for half days.
