Event description

Description

Join broadcaster and anthropologist Mary-Ann Ochota as she guides us through the hidden histories of the British landscape.

Wherever you go in Britain there’s history woven into the landscape around you – in the shape of a field, the wall of a cottage, a standing stone or churchyard, even in the grass under your feet…And there are thousands of sites scattered across the country waiting to reveal their secrets.

Mary-Ann is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a Hillwalking Ambassador for the British Mountaineering Council and an Ordnance Survey #GetOutside Champion. She’s a familiar face on archaeology shows and writes regularly for newspapers and magazines on the outdoors and adventure. Find her on Twitter and Instagram @MaryAnnOchota

Tickets £4 (in store or online at Stanfords.eventbrite.com, redeemable against cost of Hidden Histories: A Spotter's Guide to the British Landscape by Mary-Ann Ochota)
