Dating from the 18th century, a number of hospitals were founded in the Westminster area, especially around Vincent Square.

At the same time, several philanthropists were establishing charity school in the area for the poor. There was the Blue Coat, Brown Coat, Green Coat and Black Coat School.

This walk will explore the history of these establishments and the many buildings that still survive.

The walk will last approximately 2 hours and will end at Parliament Square
