About this event

Liz Holden is one of Scotland's top fungi experts and her guided walks are always guaranteed to shed light on the fascinating lives of fungi and the essential roles they play in many ecosystems. Come and learn about our local, native fungi here in the Highlands.

We will meet at the Fassfern car park/picnic area at 10am and take a leisurely walk up the paths and around the woodlands. Fairly sturdy footwear is recommended as we may drop down amongst the trees to get a better look at what's growing.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. This walk is not suitable for dogs.

Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable, but you are welcome to arrange an extrange with someone else yourself.

Organised by

We are Friends of Nevis, a community conservation charity based in Lochaber in the West Highlands of Scotland. Our aim is to look after and manage Ben Nevis and the surrounding area. As a natural and cultural environment attracting over 150,000 visitors every year, the Nevis area needs sensitive management to maintain and protect its unique landscapes, flora, fauna and wildlife. If, like us, you love Ben Nevis & Glen Nevis please support us as we work to protect and enhance one of the finest landscapes in the country.
