Ever fancied having a go at photography?

Then come along to Hidden in Talent in Devon - Introduction to Digital Photography at Plymouth College of Art.

This workshop starts with a taster evening, followed by six weeks of learning digital photography skills in a group setting (dates below). Starting with the basics, you'll look at movement and lighting whilst gaining the confidence to step away from Auto mode! You'll also get some photo editing skills under your belt and leave with some images to be proud of.

And it's all free! This opportunity is fully funded by the European Social Fund.

No experience of photography needed. All equipment provided. You just have to bring the enthusiasm (and meet the following criteria):

  • Aged 18+

  • Living in Devon

  • Eligible to work in the UK

Location: Plymouth College of Art, Tavistock Place

Taster workshop: Wednesday 18/04/2018, 18:00-21:00

Note: if you attend the taster evening and do not wish to continue with the six week workshop, there will be no obligation to do so.

Week 1: Wednesday 25/04/2018, 18:00-21:00

NO session on Wednesday 02/05/18

Week 2: Wednesday 09/05/2018, 18:00-21:00

Week 3: Wednesday 16/05/18, 18:00-21:00

Week 4: Wednesday 23/05/18, 18:00-21:00

Week 5: Wednesday 30/05/18, 18:00-21:00

Week 6: Wednesaday 06/06/18, 18:00-21:00


Please note that all courses are subject to student numbers and will only run if sufficient numbers are achieved. Plymouth College of Art reserves the right to cancel a course if insufficient student numbers are recruited.


FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

You must be 18+ and eligible to work in the UK to register on this workshop. You will need to provide proof of ID (passport, driving licence or birth certificate) and proof of eligibility to work in the UK (eg. National Insurance number).

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We recommend using public transport to attend this event. Plymouth College of Art is in the city centre and is within walking distance of all bus routes that stop in town, as well as Plymouth train station.

Alternatively, there are many pay and display car parks in Plymouth city centre, including the nearby Drake Circus shopping centre.

What can I bring into the event?

You don't need to bring anything to this event, but you may want to bring a notepad and pen or pencil. If you have your own camera, feel free to bring this along, although cameras can be provided for those who don't have one.
