August was a doozy -- across Colorado we saw record high temperatures, multiple wildfires, and drought, each highlighting the reality of a warming climate. The US Fourth National Climate Assessment warns that impacts of climate change are intensifying across the country, threatening our physical, social, and economic well-being. With important local, state, and national elections coming up, will 2020 be the year we decide to take bold action to reverse climate change?
The good news is we already have the solutions we need to start fixing this crisis. We just need the political will to get it done....and, perhaps, a bit of inspiration. Join us on October 14 to see director Damon Gameau's film 2040 - a project he calls an "exercise in fact-based dreaming." Drawing on the best minds from around the world to focus on climate, economics, technology, civil society, agriculture and sustainability, this is a film that shows us what 2040 could look like if we envision a better future for ourselves and our planet. It's a story of hope, and a powerful tool to encourage people to take action. Watch the trailer here.
How do you watch the film?
Around 5:30 PM on Wednesday, October 14, you'll receive an email from Together Films with your personal viewing link. You can start watching the film any time once you've received the link. You won't need to do anything with your ticket; that's just the way Together Films and HC3 know who has registered to watch the film.
After you've watched the film, join HC3 at 8 PM for a short conversation -- we'll send you a separate meeting link for the discussion. We'll also send you an email on Tuesday, October 13 to remind you of these details.
