It's the perfect time of the year for fungi and there is a lot to see if you take the time to look. Join us for a walk in Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve with the British Mycological Society to learn all about the fascinating world of fungi and have any questions answered by our knowledgeable walk leader.
Species that have been found here include turkey tail, dog's stinkhorn, parrot waxcap and dead man's fingers...such brilliant names! Come along and see what species we can find on the day.
Places are limited, so booking is essential. If you can't come along for whatever reason once you have booked your place, please contact jill.tyson@groundwork.org.uk so she can make your ticket available for someone else.
As this walk is for 2 hrs, it is not suitable for young children. There are however plenty of other activities taking place at the Bale House Visitor Centre on this day at the High Weald Celebration Event, such as nature & heritage themed arts and crafts so please do come along. No need to book for these.
There are several car parks which use the RingGo app or cash. Please download the app before arrival.
With thanks to FIPL (Farming in Protected Landscapes)for funding this event.
