Dear friends and colleagues
With the recently announced changes to the way apprenticeships are funded and delivered, businesses will want to know how they can make the most of the opportunities on offer. Alongside the introduction of a Digital Apprenticeship Service, the changes will transform apprenticeship education and training in England, with opportunities and challenges for employers large and small.
If you think you may be a levy-paying employer, you will want to plan to get full value from your contributions. Employers not expected to pay the levy will want to take advantage of the government’s financial support for apprenticeship education and training.
Your local university and college partners invite you to attend the Apprenticeship Employer Engagement event on 23rd September 2016 to learn more about the changes.
Attend the event to:
Understand the impact of the levy and get up-to –the-minute information and advice on what it means for your organisation
Contribute your views on how the University and its partners must respond for the benefit of your industry
Help us work on the apprenticeship standards most relevant to your organisation and help us ensure our courses deliver those standards
Understand the recent developments in higher and degree apprenticeships and their benefits in attracting and retaining employees
Prepare for the impact of the funding changes and Digital Apprenticeship Service
Hear what the Local Enterprise Partnership is doing to make sure apprenticeships work for employers in the South East Midlands
Find out how to link with other employers to ensure the right kind of apprenticeship education and training is available locally.
I look forward to welcoming you.
