Higher Human Biology

The Higher Human Biology course will run on a Tuesday evening for 32 weeks at Beeslack Community High School, Penicuik. Our tutor has over 20 years experience and is a SQA moderator/verfier. The cost of the course for Adults is: £199.50 Students: £105.00 Additional cost: Examination fee £37.00 (payable at the beginning of December). Please be aware that there will be an additional fee when booking through eventbrite.

Course Description and Content

This course will be of interest to anyone wishing to pursue a career in health care and science. The course covers the structure and functions of the human body. This involves ongoing assessment in addition to the final exam.

Learning Outcomes

Students will develop an understanding of biological principles that can be applied to the many issues facing individuals and society today, such as health care and increasing population. The course will be divided into 2 units and 2 half units, which lead to awards in the individual units as they complete the Higher course.

Aims of the Course

To complete the study of Higher Grade Human Biology and pass the SQA exam.
