HIGHLIGHT REEL EVENTS - Walking Routes Workshop

Are you passionate about walking and work in an active / outdoor tourism business, are involved locally or with community group and have knowledge of great walking routes in your area or do you simply love walking in the South of Scotland? If so, we need to hear from you, and we would love for you to join our workshop. We’re looking for your local expertise and passion to help us develop Dumfries & Galloway's and the area crossing into the Borders best walking routes to the world.

From rambles to ambles, day treks and leisurely strolls - we want to share our hillsides, shorelines, and countryside with everyone. We are now looking to develop Scotland Starts Here for Dumfries & Galloway and we need your help to ensure the best walking routes are on the app and website.

We have set this workshop up and encourage you and anyone you know to attend and share this great insight. Upon registering you will receive a confirmation email with a survey to complete with your lists of great walks. This could be anything from nature, historical, easy, family friendly, adventure or long-distance walks. We want to ensure the people that know these routes best are at the heart of this work we are doing and that you can help us create the content for each of the chosen ones. ( We will be doing a vote to find the top ones.

We are also looking for great storytellers in the area as well as audio content to the app and website. Please let us know if you have any or know anyone we should be speaking to.
