About this event
Join us for a walk where we will be guided through a circular walk, taking you deep into the heart of Carding Mill in Carding Mill Valley, Shropshire. The area around the Carding Mill Valley is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the Long Mynd is an important place for wildlife.
The walk covers a variety of terrain, including a rugged route up a steep incline to the top of the hill, then over heather-covered hills with stunning views of the Shropshire Hills and on down a narrow valley steep in places with a drop on one side. Some areas could be muddy underfoot, and some of the paths are uneven, so good footwear is recommended. Some of the areas have grazing sheep, so it is recommended that dogs are kept on leads. There are no stiles on route.
This route begins at the National Trust Carding Mill Valley car park, where there is a pay and display. A tearoom, gift shop and toilets are located at the Carding Valley.
This will be a beginner walk, approx. 5km. A lovely walk with a bestie, family friend, mum or whom ever you wish?
