Hilbre Independents Biennial – Closing WeekendFinal Exhibition: Tidal ThreadsArtists: Ling Warlow & Amanda Oliphant
Join us for the closing weekend of the Hilbre Independents Biennial with our final exhibition, Tidal Threads, featuring new works by Ling Warlow and Amanda Oliphant.
- Ling Warlow explores the resilience of plant life and the vivid colours found across Hilbre Island, reflected in her delicate palette of plant-dyed paper.
- Amanda Oliphant delves into the relationship between time and tide, capturing the ever-changing form of the island and the passage of natural forces.
Also showing:Adam Cain presents MA – an experimental audiovisual film reflecting on motherhood, the transience of nature, and the beauty of impermanence. It is a poignant meditation on memory, loss, and the longing for a place or time that no longer exists.
This is your final opportunity to experience the work of over 25 artists who have participated in Drawing Out Hilbre Archipelago — an extraordinary creative response to the unique and wild beauty of Hilbre Island. Across exhibitions, performances, and installations, these works have been shaped by the island itself.
