Event description

Description

Calling all potential Hinkley Point C Suppliers

Do you understand how to transfer your existing skills and capabilities across to this project?

As the first nuclear power station to be built in a generation, Hinkley Point C (HPC) is adopting the latest best practice techniques, therefore companies wishing to be involved need to understand a number of customer specific requirements to support the successful delivery of the project .

For ambitious, innovative companies who can help reduce costs and improve lead time and safety, the project offers significant contract opportunities throughout its 10-year construction and beyond. Each company has something unique to bring to the project, but needs to understand how to translate their existing capability to fit customer requirements.

Safety is the number one concern, and the expectations and standards required for achieving nuclear excellence are higher than ever on this project. It is vital to EDF Energy and their primary contractors that this is understood and implemented at every level of the supply chain to deliver the project on time and on budget.

To address this issue, Exelin have worked with EDF Energy to develop the HPC Supplier Induction Programme; delivered by nuclear industry experts, and designed to help companies bridge gaps in their knowledge and prepare to support their potential HPC customers.

Based on the principles of excellence for nuclear suppliers, the programme also includes additional customer specific requirements, and uses a range of interactive case studies to help you identify areas of improvement within your business to put you in the best position to deliver successfully. The fifth and final day of the programme will include an HPC site tour, and an afternoon session for networking with other companies linked to the HPC supply chain, and the opportunity to present to potential customers how lessons learned by completing the programme have positively impacted your own operational experience.

80% of previous delegates are either bidding or have already won work at HPC!
