Event Information
Description
"Makes you stop and reflect on what direction you want your career to take and to think more broadly about personal areas of interest where perhaps you can make an impact." Past Workshop attendee.
9:00AM. Tea and Coffee and Mingling
9:20AM. Values based career workshop
Join us for an interactive workshop for making career decisions to help you deliver positive social impact. We will cover:
• Identifying your values
• Understanding your skillset
• Practical steps to upskill yourself towards your future career moves
Unlike other careers workshops, HIPE starts from a point of identifying which social issues are important to you and helps you to understand in which policy areas or careers you can have the most impact.
By the end of this workshop you will have a clear idea of the next steps you need to take to progress your career and a framework for thinking through career decisions.
This will be a highly interactive event with a limited number of participants. Please ensure you can attend the full event when signing up.
NOTE:
- This workshop is for UK civli servants only.
- This workshop contains a lot of original research but is aimed at staff not already familiar with the research on careers and social impact from 80000 Hours or the effective altruism community.
