HIPS An Introduction to Breast Ironing

Please note this training is for attendees in the HIPS (Hampshire) area.

This course explains what breast flattening/ironing is and who might carry it out, what makes a girl at risk of this practice, what the law says about it, how professionals can identify it is happening, and how to respond if it is suspected.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand what breast flattening/ ironing is and the ways in which it is done
• Explore some of the indicators of breast flattening/ironing and its prevalence
• Consider the impact of breast flattening/ironing
• Know how to respond to cases of/ suspected cases of breast flattening/ ironing
