Please note this training is for attendees in the HIPS (Hampshire, UK) area.
During the week beginning 13 October 2025, HSCP will be holding a Child Exploitation Safeguarding Practice Week. Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) are committed to safeguarding children and young people from harm resulting from all forms of exploitation and extra-familial harm. Extra-familial harm is defined as risks to the welfare of children that arise within the community or peer group, including sexual and criminal exploitation. A key element of extra-familial harm is that in general, harm does not arise from the home environment; parents may not be aware that their child is at risk or may be struggling to protect their child and the family from harm against exploiters.
This HIPS Child Exploitation Toolkit has been developed to support professionals working with children who may/are at risk of child exploitation. It provides a range of information, resources and practical tools to strengthen the multi-agency safeguarding response to this area of safeguarding.
