About this event

This event is for young people 11-15 years old.

Young people will spend the day learning about the history of the Tamar and Royal Albert Bridges and how the heritage of these are communicated to the public.

They will be guided on a tour of the bridges by our Heritage officer who will bring history to life through stories about the building of the two bridges. They will also be given the opportunity to discover artefacts not yet on public display and will learn how to use these to create interesting interpretation displays.

This opportunity is ideas for young people with an interest in history who are keen to learn more about how this is used in a local setting.

Please note, the guided bridge tour will take approximately 1 hour and young people will need to be able to be mobile for this length of time. The route is flat and therefore should be accessible to all, but if you have any accessibility concerns please contact visit@tamarcrossigs.org.uk to discuss.
