Sustrans’ Leading the Way with Active Travel workplaces programme funded by the Public Health Agency (PHA) engages a number of major workplaces within Belfast including, Public Health Agency, Belfast City Council, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Department of Infrastructure and Business Services Organisation. The aim of the programme is to promote and encourage active travel such as walking, cycling and use of public transport as part of the daily work or community commute to improve physical and mental wellbeing and to contribute to a greener environment.
