The conditions were such that it it was safe to imagine, the truth of what happened in that death camp, would never be challenged.

But it has been and continues to be, by governments and the resurgent Right across the East, in the Balkans and the Baltics.

Holocaust denial and historical revisionism are now essential features of right wing ideology. This battle of ideas impacts on the struggle to maintain democracy, press freedom, the right of Labour to organise…and it impacts on our lives, here in Britain.

Join our discussion with author Phil Katz. His book 'Freedom From Tyranny' was amongst the first to challenge the distortion of the history of the origins, course and settlement that followed World War Two. Phil will explain how each of these themes, is very much an issue for today and the future.
