History Detectives: Kings, Queens and Castles
Mon 10 April 2017, 09:30 – 16:00 BST
Join the History Detectives Agency for our special day-long workshops playing games and craft activities. Why were castles built and how were they defended? Who lived in our Warwickshire castles? Build a medieval siege engine, make feasts fit for a king or queen and design your own coat of arms.
Suitable for children aged 6 - 12 years. We will look at original and replica objects and documents relating to the theme of the day and play games and quizzes based on these. Children also make a selection of make and take crafts based on the theme of the day. There are always at least two members of staff with the group , both of whom are DBS checked. Children must bring their own lunch, snacks and drinks.
