History in Helmsley Guided Walk

Part of the North York Moors National Park’s Guided Walks Programme. On a winter’s day approaching Christmas, Helmsley is a colourful, bustling place to visit, with its lights, decorations and numerous visitors.
A 1.5 mile walk around the town will also reveal a wealth of historic buildings, including the Norman castle, churches and fine examples of Georgian houses. Accessible by wheelchair.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Our guided walks are free, although a suggested donation of £2 is welcome, helping us to care for the National Park.
