History in the Landscape - 3.5 miles EASY
Join Sarah our experienced Blue Badge Guide and local history expert for an informative walk around the historic landscape just above Llangollen.
We meet at the Courtyard Café off Castle Street at 2.00pm where you can enjoy a tea, coffee and snacks before the off.
Learn fascinating facts about the UNESCO World Heritage Site and Llangollen canal, the River Dee, Valle Crucis Abbey and Castell Dinas Bran ruins.
We'll finish the walk on a pretty stretch of the Llangollen Canal where you will see the horse drawn boats, to end at the Canal Wharf Café between 4.00 and 4.30pm.
Meet - 2.00m to start at 2.30.
ON ROUTE: we will be walking on the canal tow path and footpaths; underfoot the paths are generally good.
STURDY FOOTWEAR: is advised, bring drinks and snacks..
WEATHER: keep an eye on the weather in the days leading-up to the walk, a waterproof jacket and trousers may be needed.
DOGS: sorry NO dogs.
