Art in Translation - Restitution, Repatriation and Return in Latin America: Understanding Multiple Perspectives through National Case Studies

This talk examines the complexities of cultural heritage restitution in Latin America, focusing on the linguistic, legal, political and historical challenges involved. It presents the research and the methodology conducted for a special issue of Art in Translation, offering insights into seven national case studies and emphasising the importance of inclusive, multilingual dialogue. The aim is to broaden access to Latin American perspectives on restitution, return and repatriation.
