About this Event

Join us as part of our wonderful Heritage Days. Our volunteers will take you on a stroll, charting the 200-year history of the docks and the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal, where we’ll share a variety of fascinating information with you and an opportunity to also view traditional ships.

Whilst you’re here, pop into our café and gift shop or visit our museum.

Meet outside The National Waterways Museum at Gloucester Docks. Our first walk of the day will set off at 11am and follow a circular route around the docks, aiming to be back at the museum for 12:30pm. The second starts at 1.30pm, aiming to be back at the museum for 3.00pm.

Book now

Please book one time slot per person. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from seven years old upwards (children in buggies are of course more than welcome!) as an introduction to the historic Gloucester Docks.

Parents and Guardians are required to accompany their children on this walk.

If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another person a chance to take part.
