Why do you use Year 7 and Sixth Form guides?

Year 7s can offer a unique and relatable perspective having recently joined the school, whilst Sixth Formers can provide a more experienced outlook. You will also have an opportunity to speak with members of the Senior Leadership Team at the end.

Will I get an opportunity to meet the Headteacher?

At the end of your tour you will have an opportunity to meet several members of the staff body including the Headteacher, Mr James Crowther. The Senior Leadership Team will be present, including our SENCO, Mrs Laura Cole, plus student leaders and members of the Pastoral team.

Following feedback from previous years, we now pre-record the Headteacher’s speech and share it on our website, to give you maximum time to see the school in action.

How long will the tour last?

Approximately 50 minutes, and you will be with other families.

Will I see every classroom?

Due to the size of our school it is not feasible to see every classroom, but we hope the tour we have designed will give you a good taste of what to expect. Some classroom doors may be shut as there may be lesson content that is not appropriate for Year 6 pupils.

Can I attend if my daughter is in Year 4 or Year 5?

Our Open Mornings are always oversubscribed. Unless your daughter is currently in Year 6 and you will be making your application for secondary school for September 2026 start, we ask that you do not attend this Open Morning. This will allow families who need to apply this year to see the school.

How many people can come with me?

We ask that you limit your party size to three, which should be your Year 6 child and a maximum of two parents/guardians. You can of course bring twins plus two parents/guardians.

Do you run open evenings?

We believe that the best time to see our school is when it's full of students, so our open events are all during the day.

Unfortunately not.  We ask that you book a ticket and bring that ticket with you to  access the timed slot.

Can I book on more than one tour or morning?

Multiple bookings will be cancelled to enable other families to attend.

Why can I only book one ticket?

One ticket gets you access for three people (two parents/carers and one Year 6 child). If you have twins, you can be a party of four.
