Event description
This talk will explore the latest understanding about HIV and ageing. What can people living with HIV expect as they grow older?

About this Event

We are now seeing the first generation of people growing older with HIV thanks to incredible medical progress. In fact, the over 50s are the fastest growing population of people living with HIV, with the proportion of over 50s projected to rise to 54% by 2028. However, this is uncharted territory in many ways as we continue to develop our understanding of the lived experience of growing older with HIV.

This talk will explore the latest research and understanding around growing older with HIV.

Our speakers will include Dr Clare van Halsema (North Manchester General Hospital) and Sophie Strachan (Sophia Forum).

Please join us in the audience or watch the event online via livestreaming.

Refreshments will be provided by Mandy's Mobile Munchies.

HIV Live Talk is a series of four events that explore themes related to living well with HIV as we grow older.

People can attend as audience members or access through livestreaming using a smart phone, tablet or computer. Each event will be recorded and shared online for those who wish to access at a time more convenient to them. Although the themes are related to growing older with HIV, the events are open to anyone who wishes to attend, regardless of age.

We are grateful to Gilead Sciences Inc for sponsoring this event.
