Our sessions primarily follow the Forest School ethos of child led learning, we are usually in the woods playing and exploring and encouraging a deep connection with the woodland environment. Activities can include hammocks, whittling, invertebrate hunting, woodland crafts, swings, bridge building, tool use and fire lighting.
Please note that we will not be providing lunch for this session. Every child needs a packed lunch that is suitable to stay in their rucksack. Please send your young person with a water bottle for the day, refills will be available.
All our sessions will be held entirely outside, so please ensure your child(ren) are dressed appropriately for the weather (hat scarf, suncream, waterproofs as appropriate to the season) with long trousers and closed toed fitted shoes (no crocs). Please do not allow your young person to bring a mobile phone.
During high winds, our sessions may well be based in and around the yard if we feel it is unsafe to be in the woods. if we feel conditions are too unsafe to run at all, we will contact you.
All young people must be dropped off by an adult, who must confirm their emergency contact details with the member of staff at the arrival point, before departing along with confirming who will be collecting said child.
It is important that you read and agree to the following information before you book onto the session.
