Description
We are very excited that Hollie McNish is returning to Chapel FM this September with her new book "Plum". Her last visit was a great and packed event with everyone in the audience buzzing, and Hollie herself happy to be offered some of very special home-made Chapel FM food to take on her long journey home after the gig! Well, with all going well on the Chapel FM allotment at the moment, we will be making sure it's home-grown as well as home-cooked grub for this gig!
If you haven't come across Hollie yet, then prepare yourself for a real treat.
Benjamin Zephaniah said simply about Hollie: ‘I can’t take my ears off her’, Kate Tempest describing her poetry as ‘welcoming, galvanising and beautiful’. She has fans ranging from Robin Ince, Pink, Tim Minchin, Marian Keyes as well as most of the UK’s midwives!
Hollie McNish is a poet whose readings are not to be missed. She is an Arts Foundation Fellow in Spoken Word, has garnered over two million Youtube views for her online poetry performances and was the first poet to record at London’s famed Abbey Road Studios.
Hollie will be reading extracts from her brand new book:
“Plum is certainly brave...The poems are refreshingly funny, angry, contemplative and personal. A sense of wanting the world to be a better place shines out.” The Telegraph.
Expect strong language (and a great night!)
